Under the Chairmanship of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Emirates Airline, Dubai International Marine Club and President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Department, Victory Team Headquarters was officially opened in November 2002 with the main focus on the construction of boats and the development of our engineering capabilities.

Bordering the developing Dubai Marina, the new 2.16 hectare headquarters boasts the latest state-of-the-art high tech equipment, giving it the distinction of being the only such facility of its kind in the region.

One of the main concerns for the HQ is that it be both environmentally and ecologically friendly. With enhanced insulation, energy conservation, filtration of dust, water conservation, smoke and noise mufflers, the headquarters is not only kinder to mother nature, but also boasts the very best working conditions for the dedicated members behind the success of the team.

The new facility also holds two large Dyno rooms featuring the most advanced equipment available, allowing the team to not only test, but also further develop both petrol and diesel engines.

From the boat building side, the high tech material composite workshops are equipped with the state-of-the-art temperature controls to ensure that the air is maintained at an exact temperature for fabrication of boats. The use of new techniques in vacuum bagging and the latest fibers such as carbon and Kevlar ensure that boats built by Victory Team are lighter and yet retain their strength – a must for any serious contender for a powerboat crown.

For those in the market for a Victory Team boat, the Team is willing to cater to every aspect of an aspiring racing team, including the training of the mechanics and engineers, maintaining the equipment and engine rebuilding.

Since the Victory Team took to the racing waters of the Class One World Powerboat Championship in 1992 the blue boats from Dubai have become synonymous with the best in this exciting and exhilarating sport.

This year, once again, we take up the challenges that lie ahead armed with a steadfast commitment to sporting excellence, a dedication to professionalism and an unwavering determination to bring pride to our country by retaining the world title. It may be the first time our two C1 boats share the livery and names of Fazza but they will maintain the skills and focus enjoyed over the years in Victory’s racing blue.

The final results may only offer the trophy to one team but through another year of great sportsmanship between all competitors, I believe victory and success will come to all.

For the Class One teams and their crews – as well as other racing divisions we may enter – I wish an enjoyable, but most importantly, a safe racing season.

For the 2009 racing season Victory Team has teamed up with Dassault Systemes SolidWorks Corp. by using SolidWorks MCAD software for the design and engineering of our World Championship winning race boats.

The consolidation of design and engineering tools into a single package allows us to go from concept to prototype to finished product in a shorter time frame than was previously possible with our older systems. A direct result of this is more time on the water for practice and testing, allowing us to maintain our position at the top of Class 1 powerboat racing.
